Tahoe Club VIP Programme Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the operation of Tahoe Club VIP Programme and the administration of its memberships. Tahoe Club VIP Programme is operated by Tahoe Life Insurance Company Limited ('Tahoe Life'). A member of Tahoe Club VIP Programme will be able to receive various benefits and privileges offered by or through Tahoe Life, subject to the terms and conditions hereof and other relevant terms which may be announced or communicated to the VIP members from time to time by different means of communication.

Selected Tahoe Life’s customers will be invited as Tahoe Club VIP members.

Each member of Tahoe Club VIP Programme understands and agrees that he/she has:

  • read, understood and accepted all the terms and conditions contained in this document;
  • agreed and accepted these terms and conditions set out by Tahoe Life, including Tahoe Club VIP Programme Privacy Policy Statement. Tahoe Club VIP Programme Privacy Policy Statement is accessible through the designated website;
  • agreed and accepted these terms and conditions and Tahoe Club VIP Programme Privacy Policy Statement may at any time be amended or supplemented by Tahoe Life and that continued participation in the membership will constitute an acceptance of such amendment or supplementation;
  • Tahoe Club VIP membership (the ‘membership’) is valid for a period of 12 months (from the date of invitation). Tahoe Club VIP Programme shall reassess each member’s membership entitlement every year.

Terms and Conditions

1. Joining Tahoe Club VIP Programme

1.1   Eligibility: Aged 18 or above.

1.2    Membership: The membership is acquired and held on an individual basis, it is by invitation only and the membership tier shall be determined by Tahoe Life at its sole discretion from time to time.

 

2. Membership Tier

2.1   Membership Tier: The membership is classified in four tiers – Red, Gold, Platinum and Black Diamond, members of different tiers are eligible for different levels of benefits and privileges. Tahoe Life has the absolute right to adjust the membership tier or entitled benefits at any time.

2.2    Change of Membership tier: Unless otherwise provided with prior notice, Tahoe Club VIP members shall be eligible to remain in their particular membership tier for a minimum of 12 months and receive the corresponding tier's benefits and privileges. Upon the membership renewal date, the membership renewal would be reassessed by the member’s personal record and overall policies status at Tahoe Life.

 

3. Membership Termination

3.1    Membership Termination: The membership will be terminated under the following conditions, or if the member has:

  • acted in an inappropriate, fraudulent, abusive or hostile manner;
  • breached or violated the terms and conditions applicable to Tahoe Club VIP Programme;
  • engaged in any misconduct or wrongdoing when participating in Tahoe Club VIP Programme or when using benefits and privileges; or
  • passed away.

3.2    Tahoe Club VIP Programme/ Tahoe Life shall owe no liability to members whose memberships are cancelled because of the reasons aforesaid. In general, Tahoe Club VIP Programme shall not reinstate any membership which had been previously terminated.

 

4. Member Benefits

4.1    Tahoe Club VIP Lounge (For Platinum and Black Diamond VIP members only)

Platinum and Black Diamond VIP members will be able to enjoy the Tahoe Club VIP lounge services. Appointment shall be made in advance, members are required to present identification document and membership card for verification to enjoy the services provided at Tahoe Club Customer Service Centre.

4.2    Tahoe Club VIP Customer Service Hotline

Dedicated Tahoe Club VIP Customer Service Hotlines (Local) (852) 2992 6333 and (China Toll Free) 400 842 7932 are exclusively offered to Tahoe Club VIP members. China Toll Free Hotline can only be used within China.  

 

Service Hours: Mondays to Fridays (except Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays) 9:00a.m. – 6:00p.m.

 

Tahoe Club VIP members can directly contact our Customer Service Officers for any enquiries or policy servicing following language selection. If a non-Tahoe Club VIP member calls this VIP Customer Service Hotline, the customer will be redirected to Tahoe Life Customer Service Hotline (852) 3767 8777.

 

4.3    Tahoe Club VIP Priority Counter Services

Tahoe Club VIP members will be offered priority counter services at Tahoe Club Customer Service Centre. Our Customer Service Officers provide services including policy changes, premium payment or claims application to Tahoe Club VIP members. Customers will be provided with policy status update on their enquiries or requests.

 

4.4    Premium Coupons

Premium Coupons are subjected to the terms and conditions specified by Tahoe Life from time to time. Tahoe Life reserves the right to change any terms and conditions without further notices.

 

4.5    Health Welfare

Health Welfare benefits will be exclusively provided to Tahoe Club VIP members from time to time, e.g. health check-up, healthy food discounts, fitness class etc. These benefits may contain products or services supplied by third parties; they will be subjected to the terms and conditions imposed by the supplier. Tahoe Life reserves the right to change the health welfare details without further notice.

 

4.6    Birthday Treats

Selected Tahoe Club VIP members will be given birthday treats. The offers of birthday treats will be subjected to the terms and conditions imposed by the supplier. Tahoe Life reserves the right to change the birthday treats details without further notice.

 

4.7    Festive Gifts

Selected Tahoe Club VIP members will be given festive gifts from time to time. The offers of festive gifts will be subjected to the terms and conditions imposed by the supplier. Tahoe Life reserves the right to change the festive gifts details without further notice.

 

4.8    Free Seminars / Exclusive Events by Invitation

Tahoe Life will invite selected Tahoe Club VIP members to join free seminars / exclusive events on a non-regular basis. The details as well as terms and conditions as set out in separate promotional materials of these specific events shall prevail.

 

5. Other Principles

5.1    Modification: The mode of operation, contents and general administration of Tahoe Club VIP Programme may be changed at any time, for any reason and without further notice. 

5.2   Termination of Tahoe Club VIP Programme: On the termination date of Tahoe Club VIP Programme, the membership shall be deemed cancelled. Tahoe Club VIP Programme / Tahoe Life shall owe no liability to the members or to any other persons regarding such termination. 

5.3   Benefits Subject to Availability and Modification:  All benefits, amenities and services of Tahoe Club VIP Programme are subjected to availability and may be changed at any time without further notice.

5.4    No Sale or Transfer: No benefits or privileges received from Tahoe Club VIP Programme shall be sold, bartered or transferred unless it is explicitly approved by Tahoe Club VIP Programme / Tahoe Life, otherwise such membership, benefits or privileges shall be deemed terminated. Tahoe Life reserves the right to claim against the VIP members and other persons involved in such trading for damages and compensation.

5.5   No Liability Arising from Third Parties Products: The benefits or privileges that VIP members can receive from or through Tahoe Club VIP Programme / Tahoe Life may contain products or services supplied by third parties.  The consumption of those products shall be at the members’ own risk. Tahoe Club VIP Programme / Tahoe Life shall not be liable for any personal injury or property damage suffered by the members.

5.6   No Warranties or Representations: Tahoe Club VIP Programme / Tahoe Life makes no warranties or representations, either expressed or implied with respect to type, quality or fitness of goods or services provided by or through Tahoe Club VIP Programme / Tahoe Life.

5.7    Interpretation of Terms: The interpretations of these terms and conditions and all other terms and conditions applicable to Tahoe Club VIP Programme shall be at Tahoe Life’s sole discretion and decisions which will be final and conclusive.  In the event of any dispute in connection with Tahoe Club VIP Programme, Tahoe Life’s decisions will be final and conclusive.  

5.8    Limitation of Liability: Tahoe Life, its staff and/or representative shall not in any way be liable for any direct, indirect, special, exemplary, punitive, incidental or consequential loss or damage or expense of any kind, whether based on contract, tort or otherwise which arise out of or are in any way connected with Tahoe Club VIP Programme, and whether such loss, damage or expense is caused by negligence or otherwise, and whether Tahoe Life has any control over the circumstances giving rise to the claim or not.

For the avoidance of any doubt, nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.  All terms expressed or implied by statute or otherwise are hereby excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Tahoe Club VIP Programme / Tahoe Life shall endeavour to ensure the availability of products and services provided by suppliers. Tahoe Club VIP Programme / Tahoe Life shall not be liable for any loss arising from the failure by suppliers to provide such products and services.  Where a member uses the services provided by a supplier, their terms and conditions will apply and Tahoe Club VIP Programme / Tahoe Life will not be liable for any loss.

5.9   Choice of Law and Venue: These terms and conditions and all other terms and conditions applicable to Tahoe Club VIP Programme / Tahoe Life shall be governed by the laws of Hong Kong. Any disputes arising out of or related to Tahoe Club VIP Programme / Tahoe Life shall be resolved through mediation or arbitration.
